Participants must be at least 18 years old. Minors may join only with written parental or guardian consent and must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Outdoor activities involve inherent risks including injury, illness, and environmental hazards. By participating, you voluntarily assume all risks and release the Hong Kong Hikers Club, its organizers, and affiliates from liability for any harm or loss incurred. Participants are advised to obtain personal insurance coverage for outdoor activities. The club does not provide insurance and is not liable for medical or evacuation costs.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically fit and adequately prepared. All members must follow safety instructions and respect trail rules, wildlife, and fellow hikers.
Membership is open to individuals who agree to these Terms. We reserve the right to deny or revoke membership or event access for misconduct or non-compliance.
By participating in club events, you consent to the use of your image in photographs or videos taken during activities for promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and printed materials. Images will not be sold or used for commercial purposes without additional consent. Opt-Out: Notify the event organizer in advance if you prefer not to be photographed or filmed.
All participants must provide up-to-date emergency contact information during registration and acknowledge the club’s emergency protocols.
For safety and liability reasons, the consumption of alcohol or use of controlled substances is strictly prohibited during hikes and any physically active portions of official club events. However, members may choose to participate in post-hike social gatherings where alcohol may be consumed responsibly. The Hong Kong Hikers Club encourages moderation and respectful behavior at all times. Unsafe or disruptive conduct may result in disciplinary action.
Participants are responsible for their own gear and any damage to club property loaned for activities.
All content on our website is the property of the Hong Kong Hikers Club or its contributors. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong SAR. Legal disputes shall be subject to Hong Kong courts.
